Mr Bernstein wrote up a concise little starter guide for young investors and shared it over at Bogleheads.

In short, Bernstein makes his case for buy and hold and offers some suggestions for further reading. Not surprisingly, Rob Bennett's Passion Saving wasn't mentioned.
Rob Bennett's comment on December 19, 2013: "I was wrong and the Buy-and-Hold people have a much better approach to investing than I do."

surely an unintentional oversight that will be fixed next edition.  ;D

or space and time constraints didn't permit inclusion of his little, worthless book.
