I can't take this anymore

Post by raddr »

After the initial shock of seeing hocus reinstated I decided to give it a few days and see what happens. It appears that my worst fears are being realized. Frankly, this board has become a mess since then and is only getting worse. As much as it pains me I am going to greatly limit my participation here in the future. I sincerely hope for ES that things work themselves out and that the NFB flourishes.

Periodically I get requests by NFB members to look at posts, provide data, etc. which I am happy to do if I can. If anyone has any request or needs to get in touch with me I can be found at my new h*cus-free discussion board at:

http://groups.msn.com/RaddrsEarlyRetire ... ategySite/

I'll still be peeking in over at least the next few weeks or so but I may not be answering PM's as promptly as in the past.

Good luck to everyone!

I will point out that roughly 90% of the "mess", aka disruption, came from members other than hocus.

I've actively participated here for a week. Most of the posts are "I cant take this anymore/I'm leaving/I'm retiring". Despite the obvious fact that this feeds the very fear expressed, at this point I'm already tired of it. Leave already.

Wow, you've been here a whole week. Then I won't question you since you are an expert on the NFB. Since you can't seem to grasp the obvious, the purpose of my post was not to "feed the fear". It was to let people know where I'll be since I do get a number of PM's requesting things as mentioned. I have contributed a lot here (you haven't) and it is rude (a concept perhaps you can't understand) to leave and not tell some of your friends where you are going.
Leave already.

Gladly.

If your primary intention was to tell people where you were going, you certainly fooled me by titling your post "I cant take this anymore" and spending the first paragraph lamenting the state of affairs of this board.

I also wasnt aware there was a time limit one had to observe before expressing an opinion.

See ya later.

You'll be missed, raddr. I've actually found several interesting threads in the last days, and haven't had too much trouble avoiding the mess. Though I was briefly tarred for an hour or so. If the boards here get so jammed w/ hocus-related junk posts that I can't find entertaining / informative threads, then I'll also spend less time here, but so far I've not found that to be the case. Anyway, I'll be stopping by your new board and seeing what's going on. I might even grace you with a post or two if I can resolve those difficulties that we've discussed with the MSN software.

Likewise. Keep on keepin on, raddr, and thanks for all the informative posts and studies you've contributed.

Greetings Ben :)

I agree on both counts. There are more interesting threads than the few disruptive ones. And those would go away if those folks could learn what you and I already know. Avoid the mess. Perhaps we should teach a class?
