BTW should we give H---- a break????? Naaaa, just kind of feel sorry for him, although I wonder what color eyes he has...

I think that this suggestion of killing people is in very poor taste and confirms the wisdom of the decison to ban him from the board.

ES
Of course now that someone(I'll bet I know who ) has voted for death, I'm not so sure.

I know that there is one poster who has always sided with the banned individual but I don't think he is doing so this time. That is, I doubt that he is the vote in favor of execution. I have no way of knowing but he hasn't made any posts pointing us to blogs/other boards referring approvingly to this nonsense. He has been a valuable long term member of nfb. I choose to think that his silence on this matter reflects disagreement with this homicidal line of thinking.

I think whoever voted for execution may have been joking (torture got several votes too after all)

the mention of dory36's real name and a threat against his granddaughter was rather disturbing. If anybody want the link send me a pm
Have fun.

Drawing scapegoats to march the security people in some direction so they may appear that such and such a problem is being taken care of, when in reality the problem at hand is not being taken care of at all, and instead, greater atrocities occur as a result of their actions. In most such events, the victims of the police action are not the source of the problem at all, they are completely inncent and just in the wrong place and the wrong time, like the Mom they stone to death in "the Lottery."

In many ways, I see the Iraq War and also the arrest and long term imprisonment of Cannabis users, as among the scapegoat scenarios, that were caricaturized in the book, The Lottery. At random, the powers that be select anyone, relaated or otherwise from a long list of "problems," and then they go after those selected, in a blazing, unfair blitz of hatred, anger and weaponry, and in the end, little more than those innocent persons, pays the supreme price for this guise of police power.

Twenty-five thousand civilian Iraqis died in this war so far, 2,000 US soldiers. (why should I care, I don't know them and they were't me?) In all the years that King Saddomist was in power, he never came close to killing THAT many people. I recall that when the Russian military gassed that Moscow theatre with a narcotic gas, while it was full of hostages, that it resulted in hundreds of innocent citizens, the majority of them children, dying as the overzelous idiots in the Russian military came to "save them," I recall my Australian friend remarked, after reading about it in the paper, "lets hope the Russians never come to save us!" Similarly so, I think that we hope the US military never comes to save us either, as they do not seem to recognize that people can not be saved after they are blown apart!

And Iraq, was just the lottery ticket drawn among a dozen or so potential anti-US Islamic nations. We failed big time there, and now Al Quada has set root there to boot, even though prior to US action there, Al Queda and Sadom were arch enemys.

So now we got more angry Moslems begging to sign up to fight that ever before as they now have proof taht the US never cared one bit about them individually. They now think we hate them all, their kids, their grnadmothers, their future. Good work, Commanders! Did you lean anything from this?

Yes but I do deserve some form of torture don't you think? After all I've made some whopping mistakes since we started this place. The good news is I haven't made any lately. Knock on wood.

Greetings ES.
The good news is I haven't made any lately. Knock on wood.

That may be due to the fine individuals we now have on the admin board working as a team. Or is it because we are merely ES's puppet regime?

Rob Bennett, hocus et-al is banned from posting at this site. Each re-appearance, whatever the new username may be, will be dealt with a.s.a.p when time permits.
